Mac DeMarco and the Flaming Lips Announce Joint Tour

The two acts co-headline U.S. shows later this year

By Matthew Strauss.

Mac DeMarco has announced a new string of co-headlining tour dates with the Flaming Lips. The two acts join up this September for a handful of U.S. concerts. Check out both of their full itineraries below. DeMarco’s shows with the Lips are part of his world tour in support of his forthcoming record This Old Dog. He recently performed at the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as part of the trek. The Lips are continuing to play concerts behind their 2017 LP Oczy Mlody.

This Old Dog is out May 5 via Captured Tracks. Prior to its release, DeMarco has shared the title track (and its absurd video), “My Old Man,” and “On the Level.” He has also performed “Dreams From Yesterday” and “Moonlight on the River.” Read our new interview with DeMarco on the Pitch.
