‘I’m Happy I Got Closure,’ Man Says After Learning The Woman He Thought Was His Online Fiancée Isn’t Real

Charlie says that even though he had never met “Stephanie” in person or seen her in a video chat, after a three-year online relationship, he was in love with her and wanted to marry her. Charlie says he had given “Stephanie” thousands of dollars – some to help her get her $4.5 million inheritance, and some to buy a plane ticket to see him – but that she always missed her flights. On Friday's episode of Dr. Phil, Charlie meets the woman in the pictures that he believed he was texting with and learns that he was scammed -- and so was the woman whose pictures were stolen and used to dupe Charlie.
