M.I.A. Announces Release of New Documentary MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A.

M.I.A. has announced the wide release of the Stephen Loveridge-directed documentary MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. The film, an in-depth portrait of M.I.A. as an artist, premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2018 and has been screening at festivals across the world. The movie was scored by Paul Hicks and George Harrison’s son, Dhani Harrison. It’s due out September 28 in the United States and September 22 in the UK. Check out the new poster below.

M.I.A. was recently announced as one of the openers on select dates of Ms. Lauryn Hill’s upcoming Miseducation anniversary tour.
