Tickets for the Friday show are now on sale, but the Ticketmaster page for the show lists the cheapest available ticket at $236.25. Tickets for the Thursday show are priced at $65-$175 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4.

The Curt Towne Band opens both shows.

Lynyrd Skynyrd formed in Jacksonville in the 1960s and, according to legend, was named for Lee High School teacher Leonard Skinner, who gave guitarist Gary Rossington and singer Ronnie Van Zant so much grief about their long hair, that they named the band for him.

The band, which went on to sell millions of records and earned a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, played a farewell concert at Jacksonville's TIAA Bank Field in 2018, with Kid Rock, the Charlie Daniels Band, Jason Aldean, Blackberry Smoke and the Marshall Tucker Band. A film and album recorded at the show were released a year later as "Lynyrd Skynyrd: Last of the Street Survivors Tour.

Guitarist Gary Rossington, the last surviving founding member of the band, died earlier this year. Lynyrd Skynyrd's current lineup is singer Johnny Van Zant, guitarists Rickey Medlocke and Mark “Sparky” Matejka, bass player Keith Christopher, keyboardist Peter Keys, drummer Michael Cartellone and singers Carol Chase and Stacy Michelle. Guitarist Damon Johnson has also been playing with the band.
