Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi have finally squashed their beef.

To promote his latest album INSANO, Cudi did an interview with Zane Lowe. During the interview, he recalled working at the BAPE Store early in his career and running into Fiasco.

He said he hid from him to avoid the rapper using it against him one day. Lupe caught wind of the Cleveland artist’s interview and offered him a staunch “f**k you” on Friday (Jan. 19).

“Kid Cudi is a bi**h. And continues to be a bi**h. Ain’t nobody finna bring up he used to work at the Bape Store to diss his bi**h a** for having a regular job before he was a famous bi**h with a cool job,” the “I’m Beamin'” rapper typed in a now-deleted xweet. He then followed up explaining how he tried to help Cudi at first.

“Back in the day Cudi was going through a lot of sh*t. Industry sh*t, personal sh*t. I have a habit of reaching out to artists on the low to make sure they cool. I did that with Cudi. Just like words of encouragement and your peers got your back type sh*t.”

Lupe stated that Cudi questioned his motives for offering fans discounted verses on X/Twitter. In 2016, the Man on the Moon entertainer allegedly called the Chicago artist a “thief” for stealing money from his fans. “He called me a thief. In public,” Lupe typed at the time. “Had all kinds of people sh*tting on me for no reason. Then ducked a conversation to clarify or squash it.”

Finally, on Saturday (Jan. 20), Cudi took to X/Twitter to announce that the men had resolved their issues. On the heels of the Zane Lowe interview, the pair of men seemed to have hopped on a call to call a truce. Cudi explained that they spoke about their petty beef history and resolved all their misunderstandings.

He recalled the 2016 incident when he called him a “thief” and admitted he was “hating.” “Just talked to Lupe. Had a great talk,” Cudi typed. “I know I was wrong and told him I shouldnt have did that f**k sh*t I did. I called myself lookin out for the fans in the moment, but in reality I was just hating. I apologized and he accepted it. Which I appreciated foreal.”

I understand the anger and vitriol he had for me all these years, and I wasn’t mature enough to step up and just have a conversation and admit I was wrong. We as Black men need to be united. He always had love for me. Always supported me. I shouldn’t had did him like that. I wanna thank my guy IBN for settin’ the call up, and u, the fans, for being real [with] me and urging us to speak. We are good now, brand new journey.”

Fiasco then rexweeted the post, shared some love with his new ally, and even promoted Cudder’s new LP. “Sincerely appreciate it my guy……peace & blessings.”
