Lunachicks Announce First Concert in 15 Years

New York punk band Lunachicks have announced their first concert in 15 years, as BrooklynVegan notes. The group returned today (November 18) with an Instagram post announcing an April 11 show at NYC’s Webster Hall. “Cue the trumpet! IT’S HAPPENING!!!!!” the band wrote. Tickets for the gig go on sale Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. EST. Find Lunachicks’ post below.

Lunachicks formed in NYC in 1988, recording six albums between 1990 and 1999. The band has been on an indefinite hiatus since the early 2000s, resurfacing in 2004 to play the March for Women’s Lives Benefit in Washington, D.C. Lunachicks’ last studio LP was 1999’s Luxury Problem.
