Luke Perry's Kids Pen Sweet Tributes To Actor On What Would Have Been His 53rd Birthday

Luke Perry's children are honoring their father on the first birthday since his death.

The "90210" and "Riverdale" star would have turned 53 years old on Friday.

His youngest child, daughter Sophie Perry, took to social media sharing a heartwarming pic with her late dad.

"Happy birthday, fashion icon," she joked. "I can hear you doing your best Tim Gunn impersonation now. Love you the most."

Perry's former co-stars commented on Sophie's sweet tribute.

Jason Priestley wrote, "That made me laugh Sophie... sending you so much love!"

His "Riverdale" family did too.

Skeet Ulrich, Madelaine Petsch and Mark Consuelos all left heart emojis.

Son's Post!

His son, wrestler Jack Perry, also shared a loving tribute post to his late father.

"Happy birthday, old man. I'll see you somewhere," he wrote.

In Memoriam:

Perry's birthday comes just days after the premiere of "Riverdale" Season 4 titled, "In Memoriam."

In the season opener, they finally revealed what happened to Luke Perry's character, Fred Andrews.

When he passed away in March, they were in the middle of shooting Season 3.

"Riverdale" Tribute:

As The Blast reported, Wednesday's episode revealed Fred was the victim of a hit and run.

His former co-star Shannen Doherty guest-starred in the episode. She played the woman Fred stopped to help after her car broke down.

She revealed he was assisting her when another car came speeding around the corner. She said she froze and Fred pushed her out of the way, sacrificing his life for hers.

Star & Fans Reactions:

The cast -- including stars Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes -- poured their hearts out on social media prior to Perry's tribute episode.

Despite the show creator warning the premiere would be "bursting with sadness," fans couldn't help but sob through the entire episode and shared their emotional responses on Twitter.
