Luke Evans and his boyfriend, Fran Tomas, are enjoying life together.

The Good Grief actor and construction project manager confirmed their relationship when they attended a gala arm-in-arm in December 2022. Before the appearance, though, the pair had traveled around the world, from boating and swimming in Ibiza to exploring Tokyo — Evans told PEOPLE on the red carpet that it had been an “incredible year."

Tomas continued posting on Instagram about their adventures in 2023 from skiing in January to having a star-studded meal with Nicole Scherzinger in December. It seems Evans feels the same way — the Our Son cast member went Instagram official with Tomas ahead of their first event in 2022.

The actor told Attitude about how he handles relationships and why he likes to keep them private.

"My career was public, I was photographed, and all that stuff. My personal life just became the last thing that I had," the Beauty and the Beast actor shared in 2020. "I am proud and happy, and I've lived a very big life that I'm super happy with."

Tomas hails from Madrid, Spain, and works as a project manager in the construction industry, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. According to his LinkedIn, Tomas began his career as an interior designer before becoming an architect and project coordinator.

Although he is based in Europe, Tomas supports Evans’ career when the opportunity arises. In September 2022, Tomas posted a backstage picture on Instagram from The Late Late Show with James Corden after his beau appeared on the show.

"Back to the routine now…. But hey; it was fun last week at the Late late show," he captioned it.

He’s into fitness

Like Evans, who debuted his physical transformation in February 2021, Tomas regularly posts on Instagram about his time in the gym.

While Evans hits the weights to bulk up for roles, like the notoriously muscular Gaston, he has also said that fitness is all about balance.

"It's good for your body to have a break," he told Men's Health U.K. in 2014. "I don't need to be super-ripped all year round."

“Love is a very powerful thing. When you meet that person or you have that moment with someone, something else takes over. And I love the idea of it,” Evans told Attitude of the song’s heartfelt lyrics inspired by new love and fate.

He continued, “It was sort of slightly autobiographical. And slightly just a universal feeling of what it must feel like. I just tried to put into words what I felt like when I’ve fallen in love.”

Evans and Tomas hit the red carpet together in December 2022 for a LuisaViaRoma UNICEF gala in St. Barts, marking their first official event as a couple.

"I'm just happy going into the new year, closing the year 2022, which has been an incredible year for me," Evans told PEOPLE. "It's been an incredible, incredible year. I'm just happy that it's been a good one and I'm coming to the end of it with my very close friends."
