Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley Write a British Country Song

Country superstars Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley moseyed over to The Late Late Show With James Corden to write and perform a British country song. And since the United Kingdom isn’t really known for cowboys and big trucks, the country boys had to get pretty inventive with the lyrics.

While parts of the song relied on a few stereotypes like, “Can’t go to the dentist cause there ain’t one around.” Other parts of the song completely relied on stereotypes, like the lyrics, “Crikey, bollocks, cheerio, rugby, cricket, and the Rolling Stones, Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne, another jolly good honky-tonk in the U.K.”

Both Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley were probably just getting warmed up for the American Country Music Awards, which are this weekend. What’s more patriotic than writing a country song for the USA’s former ruling country? No hard feelings, England — and just to prove it, we wrote this little ditty.

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m.
