Late summer has become a boom time for Columbia concerts.

Not only are there great shows in our immediate future, but a number of exciting dates were revealed in recent days. Here are just four exciting concert announcements that should inspire fresh fervor.

Sept. 18: Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real at The Blue Note

Roots music royalty and a Roots N Blues festival (now Treeline Music Fest) alum, Nelson and his band return to Columbia with a brand-new record in tow. The songs on "Sticks and Stones," out earlier this month, "are full of debaucheries, drunken mistakes, unforgettable all-nighters, fast living, plenty of hilarity, and the occasional lesson learned amid it all," Maeri Ferguson wrote in No Depression. Tickets are $25-$45.

Oct. 17: Adeem the Artist at Rose Music Hall

As country music rightly widens its horizons, spotlighting more women, artists of color and artists with diverse expressions of gender, Adeem the Artist will be a crucial figure for years to come. Adeem owns a remarkable sense of songcraft and, on their "feckless quest towards actualization," as their website notes, embodies a greater, more fully realized country. Tickets are $12-$15.

Nov. 2: Ha Ha Tonka at Rose Music Hall

One of the great bands to ever emerge from Missouri, this Ozarks-formed outfit marries church choir singing, Southern rock riffing and artful genre-bending. "Ha Ha Tonka have never shied away from writing about the tough nuts and bolts of life, and they approach love with a clear-eyed wisdom," AllMusic's Mark Deming noted. Tickets are $15-$20.

Nov. 7: The Struts at The Blue Note

On the strength of smash singles such as "Could Have Been Me," as well as collaborations with everyone from Kesha to Robbie Williams, these bombastic Brits have carved out a rock 'n' roll niche on both sides of the Atlantic. Recent single "Too Good at Raising Hell" is a Rolling Stones-esque romp which once again finds singer Luke Spiller living out his band's name. Mac Saturn shares the bill. Tickets are $27-$45.
