Mexican music: Luis R. Conriquez is a Mexican singer-songwriter on the rise and known for his songs featuring traditional Mexican sounds such as Banda, Norteno, Narco-Corridos and Corridos. Between 2018 and 2021, Conriquez recorded over 100 songs, which were released over 10 albums and made him a breakout star on the international music scene.
The former gas station employee who performed music on the side had a hit with the 2019 song "El Buho." Conriquez reached No. 40 on Billboard's 2021 year-end Top Latin Artists chart, has contributed songs to TV shows such as the Netflix series "Narcos" and has collaborated with artists such as Juanes, Alejandro Sanz and Mana.
Conriquez will perform Friday at Acrisure Arena.

Post-punk: There's not much to the British post-punk band Shame other than modern rock songs about desperation, frustration and loneliness — and live performances featuring raw energy. But this has worked for Shame, and the band has gained a cult following in the U.S. after performances at festivals such as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2019 and Desert Daze in 2022.

Rock: Led Zeppelin is a legendary rock band and difficult for the best of cover bands to imitate, but Jason Bonham, son of the band's late drummer John Bonham, has what it takes to pull off a great tribute show. Jason Bonham also performed with Led Zeppelin in 1988 at Madison Square Garden in New York during Atlantic Records' 40th Anniversary Celebration and in 2007 at the O2 Arena in London for the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert.
Bonham will perform Friday at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Classic rock: The City of La Quinta is featuring Concerts in the Park at SilverRock Park and on Saturday, local jam band The Desert Crows will perform with the HighRoad Band. The Desert Crows features local musicians John Grounds (vocals and guitar), Chris Carletto (vocals and keyboard), Dennis Hageman (vocals and bass guitar) and Brian Meuse (vocals and drums) playing a variety of rock, dance, funk and R&B hits.
HighRoad Band performs rock 'n' roll blues fused with country on covers by Tom Petty, Allman Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival and more.
The concert is free and attendees are welcome to bring blankets and chairs.

Rock: Pat Benatar is one of the most prominent and iconic women in rock. She's had two multi-platinum albums, five platinum albums and 19 Billboard Top 40 singles such as "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Shadows Of The Night" and "Love Is a Battlefield." In 1982, she married guitarist, producer and songwriter Neil Giraldo, who has performed on and produced almost all of her albums.
Benatar and Giraldo will perform on Saturday at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa in Rancho Mirage.
