Lucky Daye has assembled a super-team for his next release. On Monday (Oct. 30), the Grammy award-winner announced some heavy hitters had their hands on his next single, “That’s You.” Bruno Mars and D’Mile are set to join in on the forthcoming drop, which is slated to make landfall on Wednesday (Nov. 1).

The New Orleans crooner posted a snippet to X and tagged Mars and D’Mile in the caption. “I’ve been so dumb/ Don’t wanna be a fool outta love, all alone/ Girl, I’ve been so wrong, just to make it feel like home/ I’ve been dumb, so dumb/ Spendin’ every dime to get everything I want,” Daye sings against the soulful instrumental.

This doesn’t mark D’Mile and Daye’s first time making magic together, as the singer has worked closely with the legendary record producer on his last full-length album, Candydrip. The 2022 LP included features from Smino, Lil Durk, and Chiiild across 17 tracks. Since then, the “Late Night” singer has stayed active in 2023 by delivering impressive guest vocals on records like “Smoke” with Victoria Monét and “Is This Real Love” by Debbie.

Candydrip followed Daye‘s 2019 debut LP, Painted, which housed his breakout hits “Roll Some Mo” and “Karma.” The following year also saw a deluxe edition that added six songs and additional features from Chronixx, MediSun, Victoria Monét, and Babyface.

In 2022, Daye received five Grammy nominations for his work not just on the mic, but behind the scenes as well. He was up for Best R&B Album thanks to Candydrip and Best R&B Performance for “Over.” He was also honored for his writing credits on Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE and Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous (Deluxe).
