Lucifer Season 2 Casts The Sopranos' Michael Imperioli as the Angel Uriel
Fox’s Lucifer is adding another angel to its outfield, in the form of former Sopranos wiseguy Michael Imperioli.

Executive producer Ildy Modrovich (no relation!) announced the casting of Emmy winner Imperioli as the angel Uriel on Monday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, where the helluva series was sharing a panel with the Gotham cast/EPs.
“Amenadiel is the older brother, Lucifer is the little brother who got all the attention, and Uriel is the one lost in the middle,” showrunner Joe Henderson tells TVLine. “He’s got a chip on his shoulder, and that will be a big part of him coming down.”

Previously announced Lucifer Season 2 castings include, of course, Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) as Lucifer and Amenadiel’s mother, “Charlotte,” plus Aimee Garcia (Dexter) as the L.A.P.D.’s new forensic scientist, Ella Lopez. Both additions are series regulars.
