Wall brings Little Songs tour to Holly Hall

Colter Wall brings his The Little Songs Tour 2024 to the Helen Devitt Jones Theater of Buddy Holly Hall at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16.

With the album "Little Songs", Wall’s music continues to carry on the traditional sounds of his prairie homelands, while connecting a contemporary world to the values, hardships, and celebrations of rural life.

He sings, “You might not see a soul for days on them high and lonesome plains. You got to fill the big empty with little songs.”

Leeson brings comedy tour to Cactus

Jeff Leeson brings his Unscripted comedy tour to the Cactus Theater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19.

For more than 23 years Leeson has been astonishing crowds across North America with his off-the-cuff, improvisational style that leaves crowds not only wanting more, but amazed at what they just witnessed. Combining traditional standup comedy with long form improv, Jeff creates a unique and personal experience for the audience each and every show.

LSO presents Brahms

Classic country's Watson at Cactus

Classic country singer Gene Watson is set to perform at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Cactus Theater.

Born in Palestine, Texas, in 1943, Gene Watson was singing in holiness churches with his family at an early age. His father played blues harmonica and guitar alongside African-American field laborers. Watson grew up loving both bluesman Jimmy Reed and honky-tonk king Lefty Frizzell. His earliest public country performance came when he was just 12 years old.

In the mid ’70s, while on Capitol Records, he enjoyed success with a string of national hits, “Love In The Hot Afternoon,” “Where Love Begins,” “Paper Rosie,” “Farewell Party,” “Should I Come Home (Or Should I Go Crazy),” and “Nothing Sure Looked Good On You.”

Watson has released three other albums on his own label, "My Heroes Have Always Been Country", "Real.Country.Music." and a Gospel album, "My Gospel Roots", which garnered four consecutive No. 1 hits. Watson is currently working on a new album of country music titled “Outside The Box.”

Black returns to Hub City

Country music's Clint Black returns to the Hub City at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Helen Devitt Jones Theater of Buddy Holly Hall.

Special guests are Lisa Hartman Black and Lily Pearl Black.

It has been three decades since the release of Black’s groundbreaking debut album, "Killin’ Time". The genre-altering record cemented the country music icon as one of the truest traditionalists in the game and his widespread influence can still be felt in the works of artists today.
