Alamo hosting brunch screening of 'Oceans Eleven'

Alamo Drafthouse Lubbock is hosting a special brunch screening of "Oceans Eleven" at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.

The history of Hollywood has been marked by watching beautiful people do pretty much anything. Steven Soderbergh's remake of the Rat Pack '60s film goes one step ahead in turning this handsome heist into one of the most compulsively rewatchable movies of the past 25 years.

Parolee Danny Ocean (George Clooney) recruits old pals for the biggest job of their careers: robbing three Las Vegas casinos for $150 million at once during a heavyweight bout. Oh, and the casino owner (Andy Garcia) is dating his ex-wife (Julia Roberts). An intricately-constructed caper, Soderbergh keeps everything fast and loose with a murderer's row of sparkling performances. A cable staple since its release, this demands to be seen on the big screen.

Order from a special brunch menu or from the theater's regular menu for this special event.

Tickets for the movie are $10 and available in advance online at drafthouse.com/lubbock/event/brunch-screenings-oceans-eleven-2001/brunch
