LSU's Tommy White is Using His NIL Status to Make an Impact

Tommy White has done it again.

This past September Tommy “Tanks” White announced plans to donate a portion of his NIL earnings to the non-profit organization Empower 225.

To share the gift of love on Valentine’s Day this year, the rising star, who transferred to LSU from North Carolina State as part of the No. 1 class in the nation gave $10,000 to help those in need.

White is already proving to be a representation of that very mentorship, as he is eager to use his growing status as a way to also grow his community and charity initiatives. And this is only the beginning of White’s commitments to Empower 225 as he hopes to be able to donate more through the course of the upcoming season.

In a quote given to brproud, Toni Shea Thompson, director of partnerships and corporate relations at Empower 225 had this to say about White’s latest donation:

“Empower 225 is tremendously grateful to have the support of Tommy White. We look forward to partnering with him to empower at-risk youth to reach their highest potential. We believe many lives will be impacted this year through the generosity of Tommy White.”

White himself also said that this donation was one that he “really wanted to give back to children in the local community,” and that he “loves what Empower 225” is all about.
