Lovely Runner Episode 14 Recap & Spoilers: Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon Keep Meeting Each Other

Episode 14 of Lovely Runner aired on tvN and Viki on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. In the latest episode, the popular time-travel K-drama reveals how Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) has changed the past for Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) to be alive in the future. The episode also sees Im Sol and Sun Jae meeting several times after Sol’s friend, Lee Hyun Joo, accidentally sends Sol’s script to Sun Jae.

Lovely Runner episode 4 further shows that the script that Im Sol has written is based on her and Sun Jae’s tragic love story. After reading the script, Sun Jae starts to hallucinate about the moments between him and Sol, which he has forgotten now due to the change of events. Episode 14 of Lovely Runner begins by showcasing how Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) manages to change the past event to save Ryu Sun Jae’s (Byeon Woo Seok) life. She presses the switch on Sun Jae’s watch after he passes away. This helps her to return to the past. This time, she makes sure that she and Sun Jae never cross paths. Thus, in this way, Sun Jae never gets to fall in love with her.

Then, the episode returns to the present, where Sun Jae sees Im Sol at an award show. After seeing her steal a purse, he follows her. When they collide at the stairs, Sun Jae accuses Sol of stealing. However, Sol is too overwhelmed with emotions to talk to him. In this moment, their red envelopes get switched, leading to an embarrassing moment for Sun Jae.

Later on, viewers see Sol’s best friend and sister-in-law, Lee Hyun-Joo, sending Sol’s script to Ryu Sun Jae by accident. He is now an actor, and after reading Sol’s script, Sun Jae cannot stop crying. He feels an unexplainable connection with the story. It is quite natural, as the story is none other than the tragic love story of him and Sol. Sun Jae then insists on starring in the movie on that script.

Then, in episode 14 of Lovely Runner, viewers see Im Sol rejecting Ryu Sun Jae’s offer to star in the movie multiple times, as she wants to avoid crossing paths with Sun Jae at any cost. However, she fails to do so as fate keeps on intervening, and the two always end up meeting each other. Meanwhile, the criminal, Kim Young Soo, attacks another young girl. Fortunately, the girl escapes and talks to the police officers, including Kim Tae Sung, who starts investigating the case.

At the end of Lovely Runner episode 14, Im Sol revisits the amusement park. It is the place where she has beautiful memories of Ryu Sun Jae. Somehow, Sun Jae also ends up at the amusement park. The two then get caught up in a similar situation, just like before, inside a ride. The two get closer, and Sol gets extremely emotional, remembering the heartfelt moments between the two. The episode ends right there.
