‘Say I love you,’ Jo Koy shares thoughts on the passing of Sam Rubin

Comedian Jo Koy, a longtime friend of Sam Rubin and the rest of the KTLA 5 Morning News team, called in from Europe Monday to talk about his memories of Sam.

Unfortunately, Jo’s interview was cut short by a bad connection — “Sam would have loved that,” Jessica said paying homage to Sam’s sense of humor.

Jo did have time to tell us he was “devastated” when he heard the news and that Sam’s death inspired him to remind others to tell everyone in their circle, “I love you.”

Koy also took to Instagram saying, “We lost one of the greatest to do it. I’m going to miss you so much Sam.”
