'Love & Hip Hop' Star Erica Mena Trashed After Revealing She Won't Vaccinate Baby

“Love & Hip Hop” star Erica Mena is being ripped by fans after announcing she won’t be vaccinating her baby.

The reality star dropped the bombshell on social media this week. She posted a screenshot a text conversation with her 11-year-old son King Conde, who she shares with her ex Raul.

In the conversation you see her son trying to convince his mother to rethink her view on not vaccinating his soon-to-arrive sister.

King writes his mom, “just admit youre wrong and give up” and Mena responded, “Don’t talk to your mother like this is disrespectful and not gonna be tolerated.”

He came back with, “oh, I’m sorry for wanting my baby sister to live as healthy as possible. While youre convinced ignoring what right for her is fine? Im sorry for possibly being disrespectful but im only being that way because im passionate about this. I love you.”

She ended the conversation, “Look at you being a great big brother. I can’t for her to get here so you can defend her with all your might.” She wrote about the text conversation, “My son King is not letting up on his reasons why we should vaccinate the baby.”

Safaree Samuels, Mena’s husband, has yet to comment on the situation.

Many fans online were quick to trash Mena for her decision not to vaccinate her baby girl.

One said, “It's sad that the 11 year old has to fight to do the right thing for his baby sister” and another commented, “Just pray the kid doesn't get measles encephalitis, or god-forbid, Tetanus.”

A fan had this to say about the decision, “I vaccinate my child? Why? Because I don't want my kid to die, or contract mumps and never have the option of having children of his own. Vaccines are not the cause of autism. That myth was debunked years ago, but people trying to find reasons to not vaccinate their kids have brought it back like there's truth to it. But whatever you believe, I think the question should be this? Would I rather have a child who's alive, and who might have autism, or would I rather be the parent to a child who died from an infection disease that could've been prevented?”

“PW I hear it is the whooping cough that has made an astounding comeback along with the measles because of the anti-vaccine crowd”, said another fan.

One asked, “question is did she vaccinate her son... if he is vaccinated then she should vaccinate the baby. if you are against something then you are realyl against it but dont go swicthing gears out of the blue. this is a clever 11 year old little boy.”

The decision angered another, ”It’s 2019 and we have people openly choosing to deny their children one of the greatest achievements in mankind. Smh. So many words come to mind: sad, pathetic, and scary.” Another had this to say, “How sad is it that your 11 year old has more sense then you do? I mean what did we all expect from her, she is an attention seeking female, what else are we supposed to take away from this?”
