"Brittany and I just had a phenomenal connection. It was so real, so genuine, so authentic, something I had never experienced before to that level," Kenneth told PEOPLE. "At that time, we were less than a week away from our wedding. And so, I said to myself, 'As much as I would love to still fight for this thing, considering where we are right now, there's no way that we could say yes to each other.' "

Despite their split, Brittany told PEOPLE that she and Kenneth are still "very close friends" and talk "every day." Kenneth added: "I think the love that we have for each other and the bond that we formed will never die ... I have so much respect for her, so much love for her."

During the reunion special, AD revealed that she briefly got back together with Matthew, going "on a few dates" with him, but ultimately, they decided they weren't a good match. "We live completely two different lifestyles," AD said.

During an appearance on the Miss Understood podcast, Uche set the record straight on what happened after that conversation. “To clarify, I did continue a relationship with her,” he told host Rachel Uchitel of Aaliyah. “I know they edited the scene and they put in a sound bite to make it sound like I dumped her, but that’s not what happened.”

"I love you and I am ready for the most beautiful adventure of life with you as your wife forever," Chelsea said at the altar.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Chelsea noted that she doesn't have any ill will towards Lussier and is ready to move forward in her relationship with Kwame.

"I respect Kwame's journey, and I don't have any bad blood towards Micah," she shared. "The way I see it, if someone else is so into my man, then she's probably cool. She's probably awesome like me. I do feel that. And there's no bad blood there. And I just think everything happened for a reason."

Chelsea also told PEOPLE that she has met Kwame's mother since the couple tied the knot. "I have met Kwame's mother, and it was a beautiful first experience. There's room to grow," she shared. "We've had to give our families and friends grace with wherever they stand with us. How we met and got married was incredibly unique and nontraditional. But it's ours, and we own it. And I'm excited for the future."

Following the Love Is Blind: After the Altar, the couple talked with PEOPLE about their next steps as a couple, including a possible move.

"I love options. We love options, so we want to give ourselves as many options as we possibly can as we continue to move forward in this marriage journey," Kwame said. "In that way, it helps us to know what we can do. Those options could be stay in Seattle or it could be move somewhere else, and all that comes with giving ourselves more options and more opportunities."

"I think as a viewer, it might seem like I was afraid of saying yes and him saying no. It was actually quite the opposite," she explained. "I wanted him to say yes or say no because it's what he felt was right in his heart. And I think the only way to do that, knowing him so well, was for him to go ahead and answer first."

Though the couple got their happy ending, it doesn't mean they haven't faced obstacles along the way. "We had to make a lot of big sacrifices for each other in our short marriage so far," she told PEOPLE. "I think him going through the physical aspect of having to get shots twice a week for long, long periods of time, and then me having to give up my animals, I think that was a really big, beautiful bonding moment for us, and learning that that's what a relationship is about, not only compromises in the small ways with chores or whatever, but the big things."

In November 2023, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that they were expecting a baby. "It's a little bit nerve-wracking, but I think it's also such a beautiful thing," Bliss told PEOPLE of welcoming their first baby in spring 2024.

In January 2024, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that they were expecting their first child together. "Everybody always says the same thing ... which is when you least expect something to happen, it will happen," Brennon said. "That was the case meeting each other.
