Love alpacas? You can see 350 of them at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines this weekend

More than 350 alpacas make an appearance at the Iowa State Fairgrounds this weekend. The Fall Alpaca Spectacular brings three days of the South American animal with three halter shows and two walking fleece shows.

The event at 3000 E. Grand Ave. in Des Moines started at 8 a.m. Friday and with two shows through 5 p.m. Saturday starts at 8 a.m. with two more shows until 5 p.m. The event ends Sunday with the Illinois Alpaca Show starting at 8 a.m.
