Louisiana-based film production company signs deal to make movies in the state

PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – A Louisiana man with a history of working in film and his business partner created F3 Films LLC to make films in the state.

Chuck Bush and Nick Corso created the company for “the express purpose of producing motion pictures in the Faith, Family, Freedom space,” according to F3 Films.

F3 Films LLC signed a deal with SilverScreen Pictures, Inc., on Friday, May 17. They said the California-based company “is a preferred provider of content for Hallmark, Lifetime, GAC and other similar networks.”

“The idea is to create a slate of films exhibiting what I believe to be Louisiana values, providing
high-paying film jobs to our talented Louisiana workforce,” according to Bush.

He wants to hire as many people as he can from Louisiana for these movies.

“We have some very talented people here and work has been slow, so I’d love to put them to work on a very consistent basis,” said Bush.

The first project is titled “A Big Easy Christmas” and will be filmed in New Orleans, according to F3 Films LLC. Bush said production is set to begin this summer.

He said they will announce more films which will be produced “in the coming months.”

“We plan to make two to three films per year for the foreseeable future, said Bush.

He said he would like to make films in and around Baton Rouge and Ascension Parish too.

“We’d really like to. We have had lots of scripts sent our way and would prefer to shoot close to home. We just need the right story,” said Bush.

The headquarters for F3 Films LLC is currently in Prairieville but Bush said they are looking at a Baton Rouge office park for the long term.

Bush has been in movies such as Fandango and Terror in the Swamp, according to IMDb.
