Writing on social media, 25-year-old Louis simply shared: “Love you . Always X [sic]”.

The star was quickly inundated with support and love from his 31million followers, with one writing: “She would be so proud of you.”

Another added: “She’ll be always by you side, it doesn’t matter where you are, she will be there with you bringing health and happiness.

“Stay strong, Lou, and keep being a successful person.”

Louis’ 13-year-old sister Daisy took to Instagram to pay her respects, sharing a collection of photos of Johannah alongside the poignant message: “This has been the toughest year of my life, hours felt like weeks, weeks felt like years without you here with me.

“You were my bestest friend and we would have so much fun together, like when we would sing a long to Adele in the car, or when we would stay up late and online shop until we fell asleep on the sofa.

“I miss you in every way, your hugs, your kissss, your helpful advice and your way of cheering me up no matter how I’m feeling. When you walked into a room it immediately lit up however bad the situation was, you were always the one to fix it and we are all so so thankful we had you in our lives.

“No one could ever compare to how amazing you were! Thank you for bringing me into this crazy world and I hope to make you proud whatever the future holds for me. Because you made me proud, every single day of my life, your bravery, your confidence, your skills!

“I hope to even be half as beautiful as you were when I’m older because you were so so gorgeous. I know your watching over me and can hear what I’m saying so, Mum, I love you to the moon and stars and you will forever have a place in my heart.”

Daisy’s twin sister, Phoebe, added: “One year since I saw this beautiful, kind face. This year has been so sad and there isn’t one single minute that passes that I don’t miss you so much and think of how things could’ve been different if you were with us.”

She continued: “You were just SO perfect and life is so cruel to have taken such an amazing women away from her family, who she loved more than anything in this world.”

Louis’ 19-year-old sister, Lottie, wrote a touching message.

She shared: “We were meant to have forever together but even that wouldn’t have been long enough. Thank you for being my angel in the sky and showing me how it feels to have been loved by you.”

Louis hit the headlines last December when he performed his debut solo single, ‘Just Hold On’, at the X Factor final just days after his mother died.

Louis’ overwhelming grief was clear to see during his heartrending performance, with the singer near tears as Simon Cowell paid poignant tribute to his mother, and earlier this year the star admitted that he only went through with it because his mum wanted him too.

Addressing his moving X Factor performance, Louis shared: “I remember saying to her: ‘Mum, how the f*ck do you expect me to do this now?’ And she didn’t swear much, my mum. She’d always tell me off for swearing.

“And this time she was like: ‘You’ve got to f*cking do it, it’s as simple as that.’ It was football manager, team talk stuff.

“I’m not going to claim this is all for me mum. But it was definitely… It was…”
