Louie Ruelas Says He and Teresa Giudice Are "Living Life on Our Own Terms"

Teresa Giudice and Luis “Louie” Ruelas have become quite the jet-setters.

Since tying the knot in August 2022, The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple has taken their newlywed bliss all across the globe. They’ve gone everywhere from Mykonos and St. Barts to Bali and Dubai, and have even enjoyed a few domestic trips to states like Michigan and Florida. But despite their frequent traveling, it’s clear their wanderlust has not been fully satisfied.

On Thursday, August 31, the husband and wife continued their worldly adventures by embarking on a romantic Swiss getaway. Teresa and Louie made sure to document the trip on their respective Instagram accounts, beginning with their departing flight.

“Switzerland bound with my honey,” Louie captioned a post that showed Teresa sitting in a plane with a glass of champagne.

Shortly after landing, the couple checked into the Bürgenstock Resort on Lake Lucerne, where Louie posted a few videos of the amazing views.

“Living life on our own terms,” he captioned one clip that was filmed at sunset. “Teresa YOU ARE [flame emoji].”

The RHONJ mom hopped in the comments section to return to the kind words: “Love you so much… You are my everything.”

Teresa and Louie went on to upload additional shots of their mouth-watering meals, as well as clips of their helicopter ride with Swiss investor Marcello Genovese.

“Here’s our helicopter awaiting us,” Teresa said in a Story. “We’re outside in the snow. Look how beautiful. The glaciers, so beautiful.”

Teresa Giudice's daughter calls Louie Ruelas the "best stepdad ever"

2023 has been quite eventful for Teresa and Louie. In addition to all their traveling, the couple has spent the past several months celebrating major life changes. Back in May, Teresa’s oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, graduated from Rutgers University with a criminal justice degree. Her second-oldest daughter, Gabriella Giudice, graduated from high school the following month and headed off to the University of Michigan in August.

Louie reflected on the latter milestone in a heartfelt Instagram message to his stepdaughter.

“Words cannot express how proud we all are of you. You are not only smart and creative, but also loving and so thoughtful,” he wrote. “Today, as you start your freshman year at the University of Michigan pursuing your dreams in Finance [and] walking into this new Journey my heart swells with JOY [and] HAPPINESS for you. Remember, no matter where life’s journey takes you, your family always stands by your side, cheering you on every step of the way!!”

Gia was clearly moved by the post: “Awww I love this," she commented, "best stepdad ever."
