Lottery opens for firefly viewing at Greeneville festival

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — A special firefly viewing event will take place in Greeneville in June.

The Greeneville Firefly Festival will feature acoustic bluegrass music, guided tours by Cherokee National Forest interpreters and synchronous fireflies lighting up the sky.

Firefly viewing will be limited and selected through a lottery system. The lottery registration is open for firefly viewing on June 1 or 8 from 9-10 p.m.

Multiple entries are allowed and are $2 each. Each ticket admits up to seven people.
