May’s father, a widower, informs her one day that he intends to wed Lan, an obese and unsightly murder suspect. To prevent her father from becoming a victim, May starts looking into Lan’s past and she gradually becomes impacted by Lan’s perverse ideas about sex, money, and love on a subconscious level.

Ambitious TV anchor Li-Mei’s life discovers her long-time widower dad may be the victim of a romance scam. Worse comes when the scammer dubbed the ‘ugly femme fatale’ is accused of killing men she dated. Li-Mei teams up with the dashing local prosecutor to investigate the alleged crimes.
