On Monday, Live Nation announced that the iconic Mexican ballad group will become the first Latino, Spanish-language act to host a residency in Las Vegas with 15 shows at Park MGM’s Dolby Live.

The group  — comprising Marco Antonio, Javier, and Joel Solís; Pepe and Roberto Guadarrama; Pedro Sánchez; and Eusebio “El Chivo” Cortez — will perform two shows on Cinco de Mayo weekend; three shows for Mother’s Day on May 8, 10, and 11; and five shows in July. The group will close their residency with five shows around Mexican Independence Day in September.

“For the first time in the history of Las Vegas, the first 100% Latino residency, and in Spanish,” the group wrote on Instagram. Tickets for the shows will go on sale on Friday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. PT, though Citi cardmembers can access a presale between Jan. 30 and Feb. 1.

Los Bukis reunited after 25 years in 2021, performing sold-out shows featuring a 33-song set at stadiums such as Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, and New York’s MetLife Stadium.

Originally founded in 1976, the group disbanded in 1996 as Marco Antonio built a successful career as a solo artist, earning five Latin Grammys, with songs including “Más Que Tu Amigo” and “Si No Te Hubieras Ido.” The members of Los Bukis had formed Los Mismos, or “The Same Ones,” tapping Pedro Velásquez to replace Marco Antonio as the new group’s frontman.

Last year, Marco Antonio embarked on a solo arena and stadium tour, performing many of his own tracks, along with Los Bukis’ biggest hits, like “Tu Carcel,” “Yo Te Necesito,” and “Acepto Mi Derrota.”

“My shows have romanticism as the common denominator, as does my 25-year career as a soloist. It’s a romantic show, but there are aspects of tropical, regional Mexican music, and we have a phenomenal orchestra,” Solis told Rolling Stone last year. “People love to see that, and we’re excited to have it live again. The public feeds us with their energy.”
