Los Angeles institutions pay their respects to future Lakers forward LeBron James

It has not even been a week since LeBron James agreed to sign a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers, but that has not prevented Los Angeles institutions to pay their respects to “The King.”

Not only did the famous Pink’s hot dogs put up a pink banner welcoming James to its city, but the Santa Monica pier’s staple — the ferris wheel — also featured his name.

According to multiple reports, James is currently on a trip to Europe with his wife, so he has not seen these nods in person. That said, it is unlikely these will be the only two in the coming months.

James, 33, agreed to sign with Los Angeles this past Sunday, infusing a fanbase eager for its next superstar.

Last year, as a Cleveland Cavalier, he averaged 27.5 points, 9.1 assists and 8.6 rebounds per game.
