Lori Loughlin Upset Over Her Daughter Olivia Jade's Return To YouTube, Considers It A 'Big Betrayal'
Olivia Jade's return to YouTube did not sit well with former "Fuller House" star Lori Loughlin and the rest of the family, according to US Weekly. The 20-year-old was told to stay away from all social media, including YouTube, but Jade broke her vlog silence after going dark for almost a year.
A source told US Weekly, that she was supposed to wait until the legal drama from the College Admission Scandal was long over and Lori and husband, Mossimo Giannulli, knew the outcome of their pending case.
“Lori was very clear in telling Olivia to remain quiet and not do anything controversial,” the source said.

It Was A 'Big Betrayal'
Olivia has done her best to remain out of the public eye but she decided enough was enough and posted a vlog on December 1st.
“I actually really, really miss it,” she told her fans after her long eight-month absence. “I genuinely miss filming. I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same because this is something that I’m really passionate about. It’s something I really like to do.”
The YouTube video opened old wounds that were just starting to heal after the initial shock about the College Admission Scandal.
“There were major tensions between Olivia and Lori when the scandal first broke,” an insider told US Weekly, but she became sympathetic after she saw what her parents were going through. “She feels bad for them and has been spending more time at home.”
Now that she is back on Instagram and creating content, the family divide is starting to expand once again.
“Olivia’s YouTube video was a big betrayal,” the source said. “And cracks in the family are starting to show.”
Still Facing Charges
Lori and Mossimo were charged back in March with fraud, money laundering and bribery for allegedly paying $500,000 to get Olivia and her sister, Isabella Rose Giannulli into the University of Southern California (USC).
The couple issued a statement in July that revealed the are looking forward to the day when they "clear their names."
"Giannulli and Loughlin are innocent of the charges brought against them and eager to clear their names," the documents state. "And they believe their interests will be advanced most effectively by presenting a united front against the Government’s baseless accusations."
