Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli Arrive in Court to Face Charges for Alleged College Scam
Lori Loughlin and her fashion-designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, arrived at a Boston courthouse on Wednesday to face charges for their alleged involvement in the nationwide college admissions cheating scandal.
The Full House star, 54, wore a camel-colored, wide-legged pantsuit with a gray T-shirt. Giannulli, 55, wore a navy blue suit with a green tie and seemed more stone-faced and serious than his wife, who smiled and laughed when someone inside the crowded courthouse elevator joked, “I hope we don’t get stuck in here.”
In the preliminary hearings, the court will read the charges to the couple. It is unclear whether Loughlin and Giannulli will enter pleas.
Actress Felicity Huffman, who was also accused of being involved in the scam, arrived in court earlier Wednesday morning.
The two actresses were among a list of 50 people who have been indicted as part of an alleged nationwide scheme, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts.
They each face felony charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud after being arrested in March, and could face prison time (though a legal expert previously told PEOPLE that is unlikely).

“Dozens of individuals involved in a nationwide conspiracy that facilitated cheating on college entrance exams and the admission of students to elite universities as purported athletic recruits were arrested by federal agents in multiple states and charged in documents unsealed on March 12, 2019, in federal court in Boston,” the release said.
The indictment alleges Loughlin and Giannulli “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC.” (Neither Olivia Jade, 19, or Isabella, 20, are listed on the USC women’s rowing roster.)
Loughlin and her husband arrived in Boston on Tuesday ahead of the court appearance.

“They can’t wait for the court hearing next week to be done with,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “It’s very hard for them to think about other things right now.”
“They are both feeling very stressed out,” the source added.
