Lopez vs. Lopez will resume battle this spring, when the George Lopez comedy returns for Season 2 on NBC.

The network announced Friday that Lopez vs. Lopez’s 10-episode sophomore run will kick off April 2 at 8/7c, with two episodes, followed by back-to-back episodes every Tuesday. The show will then stream next day on Peacock.

Current Tuesday night comedies Night Court and Extended Family will wrap their seasons on March 26, paving the way for Lopez vs. Lopez’s return.

Described as a “hilarious and heartwarming comedy,” Lopez vs. Lopez “tells the story of a working-class old-school Latino who moves in with his modern Gen Z daughter (played by Lopez’s real-life daughter, Mayan Lopez) as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time. It’s old vs. new, father vs. daughter, Lopez vs. Lopez.”

Season 1 — which earned an average TVLine reader grade of “A-” — ended on a rather dramatic note, honing in on George’s alcoholism and setting up a sobriety storyline for Season 2. In announcing a return date, NBC also confirmed that comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will guest-star as Iggy, George’s fun-loving, jort-wearing, oversharing AA sponsor.

Additional Season 2 guest stars include Diana Maria Riva (Dead to Me) as Olga, a tough negotiator known for selling the best knock-off TVs at the local swap meet; and retired NFL running back Marshawn Lynch as, well… Marshawn, a brutally honest sideline reporter with big, infectious energy who brings hot takes on everything, from busted coverage on the field to busted faces in the stands. (George and his crew get caught in the crosshairs of Marshawn’s comments when they attend a Raiders game.)

Rounding out Lopez vs. Lopez‘s ensemble are Selenis Leyva (as George’s ex-wife Rosie), Matt Shively (as Mayan’s boyfriend Quintin), Brice Gonzalez (as Mayan and Quintin’s son Chance) and Al Madrigal (as George’s employee/best bud Oscar).

Season 1 of Lopez vs. Lopez streams on Netflix. No word yet if Season 2 will be made available on Netflix at a later date.
