30A Songwriters Festival

  • When: 4-11:55 p.m. Jan. 12-15

  • Where: Venues throughout Santa Rosa Beach

Historically, the 30A Songwriters Festival has featured established touring acts in various genres as well as up and coming new singer songwriters emerging on the national stage. Over 175+ artists perform over the four day weekend in  30+ venues, all located along the 30A resort corridor on the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida. Six acts headline the outdoor amphitheater stage on Saturday and Sunday each year of the Festival. This year, the festival welcomes the new 2024 headliners Jeff Tweedy, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Rosanne Cash, Grace Potter, Rodney Crowell and KT Tunstall. Tickets start at $190.

Check out a local market

  • When: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday for Grand Boulevard’s Farmers’ Market; 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday for Destin Commons Market

  • Where: Grand Boulevard, Baytowne Wharf and Destin Commons

Destin has two farmers and outdoor markets throughout the weekend. The Grand Boulevard’s Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturday and the Destin Commons Market on Sundays.

The Grand Boulevard Farmers’ Market, located at 585 Grand Blvd., features dozens of unique vendors offering mostly locally-sourced food-based items. The Destin Commons Market, located at 4100 Legendary Dr., offers a similar showcase but also features a variety of other handmade goods, home decor, tasty treats, original artwork and more.

Melodies and Mimosas

When: 2-4 p.m. Sunday

Where: 10 Harbor Blvd.

Head over to HarborWalk Village to enjoy an afternoon full of brunch, mimosas and live music.

Baytowne On Ice

  • When: 4-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday

  • Where: JVC Broadcasting Skating Pavilion, 130 Fisherman’s Cove

Dust off those skates and get in the winter spirit at The Village of Baytowne Wharf's Baytowne on Ice. For those visitors who miss the cold and ice, this seasonal ice rink is the perfect opportunity to share some of your favorite holiday traditions. Ice rink is open until Feb. 4. Skaters must be at least 3 years of age and fit into appropriately sized skates. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a parent or adult family member.

Ed & Christine’s annual birthday party

  • When: 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Saturday

  • Where: 790 on the Gulf Restaurant, 14073 Emerald Coast Parkway

Don’t let the event’s name fool you, this birthday bash is for everyone. Ed Ward and Christine Paris, owners of 790 on the Gulf Restaurant, are inviting everyone to the restaurant for a brunch special, live music from DJ Zoran and complimentary birthday cake.
