A Friday with deals, of course. While some may believe that Friday the 13th is an "unlucky day" others looking to get some ink at a deal price may say otherwise.
According to an article written for Vice News, the tradition is credited to tattoo artist Oliver Peck of Elm St. Tattoo in Dallas, The Arizona Republic, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported.
He threw a Friday the 13th tattoo party in 1995 at the now-closed studio Pair O'Dice in Dallas.
The event is known for "flash sheets," or preset selections of spooky designs for people to pick from at a low cost — originally, most cost $13 as a nod to the infamous unlucky number plus a $7 tip as a sign of good luck. Prices have since gone up at many establishments, The Arizona Republic, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported.
In the Vice article, Peck attributed the popularity of tattooing the number 13 to sailors. He said that since the number was considered bad luck, sailors would get it tattooed in hopes of warding off bad luck if it came their way, The Arizona Republic, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported.

Port City Ink will be having a walk-in event on Friday. Sign in when you arrive and you will be served on a first come first serve basis.
They are offering about 100 Halloween-themed tattoo designs to choose from. They have about five tattoo flash sheets with 20-25 tattoos on each sheet. Tattoos range from $30-$50. Piercings will be $15.

Flash tattoos will be offered at Tatt Me Up on Friday. There will be over 40 designs to choose from ranging from $20-$200.
Tatt Me Up is offering flash tattoos on a first come first serve basis. They will open up the parlor shop at 9 a.m. and will remain open through the end of the day depending on the demand.
If you can't make it on Friday, University of the Pacific and San Joaquin Delta College students can still enjoy discounts any other day.

On a first come first serve basis Quarter Horse Tattoo will be tatting this Friday.
With over 100 "original designs" of tattoos in different shapes and sizes, you will have a variety to choose from. Yes, there will be Halloween designs. Tattoo outlines will start at $13 with a $13 tip. If you want shading it will be an additional $13, $13 for red, $13 for yellow. A $65 tattoo in total will be knocked down to $60.
If you are looking for a bigger piece there will be "large classic monster tattoos" for $250.
