Looking for St. Patrick's Day fun in Alabama? It's your lucky day!

St. Patrick's Day weekend is just ahead, and you can expect lots of green beer, food and drink specials, music and other fun across Alabama. With any luck, you'll find fun times worth a pot of gold.

While many events are for ages 21 and up, there are some family events scattered around like four-leaf clovers.

St. Patrick’s Day Dance

Irish-themed murder mystery dinner in Birmingham

  • When: Friday, March 15, 6:30 p.m.

  • Where: Arlington Historic House & Gardens, 331 Cotton Ave., Birmingham

  • Info: A fun St. Patrick's Irish-themed Murder Mystery Dinner Event at The Historic Arlington House, with an optional Ghosts & Spirits of the Past and Haunts Walk of the mansion after dinner and once the mystery is solved. Try and solve the crime before the murderer gets away. You also get to explore the beautiful mansion and its collection of historic antiques and artifacts before the dinner begins.   • Where: Harley-Davidson of Montgomery, 655 N. Eastern Blvd.

  • Info: $2 beer, Irish stew, and a clover hunt at the home of the Harley in Montgomery. Wear your green and come celebrate.

Lucky Ducky St. Patrick’s Spring Kickoff

  • When: Saturday, March 16, 11:30 a.m.

  • Where: Montgomery Whitewater, 1100 Maxwell Boulevard, Montgomery

  • Info: Ducky races, floatie races, free live music, great food and more. Whitewater is on at 11:30 a.m. Races begin at 4 p.m. Ducky X (duckies/inflatable kayaks) and Floatie X (inflatable pool floats – bring your own, because they don’t have them for rent or sale) are both mass start, head-to-head races down the competition channel. The first racer to the finish wins and each participant must be on their craft as they cross finish line. Rather stay dry? Lucky Ducky will be a great spectator event. No paddling experience is necessary. Open to ages 11+. After the race stay for the free live music starting at 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the start of the Get Down spring concert series.

St. Patrick's Days Street Party in Mobile

  • When: Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17, starting at 11 a.m. both days

  • Where: Callaghan's Irish Social Club, 215 Marine St., Mobile.

  • Info: It's two full days of live music, leprechaun sightings, green beer and dancing like you've got an Irish jig in your bones. Saturday starts with traditional Irish music at 11 a.m., The Jollies at 1 p.m., The Johnny Hayes Band at 3 p.m., and Lady Couch at 5:30 p.m. Sunday has more traditional Irish music at 11 a.m., Peek at 1 p.m., and Disco Lemonade at 4 p.m.

World's Smallest St. Patrick's Day Parade

  • When: Saturday, March 16, noon

  • Where: E. College St., Enterprise.

  • Info: It's the 31st annual World's Smallest St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Enterprise. The grand marshal is the parade's only participant, and will march, dance and sing while waving the Irish flag in honor of St. Patrick's Day. It begins at the Coffee County Courthouse, travels down East College Street and around the famous Boll Weevil Monument, and then back to the courthouse. Several downtown businesses are hosting celebrations that morning before the parade. After the parade they will begin the Half Pint 0.5K, a "RACE" for the rest of us. This micro-run for fun is a 546-yard dash to the finish line includes a convenient donut station at the half-way mark to keep participants energized as they travel one more block to the finish line, and celebratory post-race victory party.

Pub Pioneers Leaping Leprechaun Pub Crawl

  • When: Saturday, March 16, 1-8 p.m.

  • Where: A trek through the bars of Montgomery,.

  • Info: This is a spirited journey through the heart of St. Patrick's Day revelry for ages 21 and up! Kick off the festivities at the designated check-in location between 1-3 p.m. There, you'll receive your digital map of the crawl and a wristband to unlock the magic of the day. Embark on a pioneering pub expedition as you explore participating venues showcasing the best of Irish cheer. The crawl is yours to conquer from 1 to 8 p.m., allowing you to curate your own experience. Discover exclusive specials at each bar, ensuring a taste of Irish delight at every stop.
