Veteran’s Day parade and ceremony

Celebrate our veterans by checking out the Veterans Day Parade and service on Saturday in Cambridge. Hosted by the Cambridge VFW, the parade is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m., with a service to follow on the courthouse steps. For more information call 740-439-9180. Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge.

Who killed the CEO?

If you missed the chance to snag tickets for the Sherlock mystery weekend, fear not. Head to the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center to see the play "The Case of the Candy Cane Codicil" presented in its entirety on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Join the lively cast and follow along to find out who killed the CEO of Cane's Candy Canes in this fun, holiday show. This is the eighth original work by local author and playwright Anne Chlovechok. Tickets for the show are $10 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 740-439-7009. Relaxing retreat

Join Lindsay Schooler and Chelsey Keding at Salt Fork State Park for the 11:11 Autumn Release Day Retreat on Saturday. The day will feature tea with Appalachian Roots Apothecary, morning yoga, hiking and guided lakeside meditations. Attendees will also have time to explore the park before returning to restorative yoga and pool time. Meals are not included in the price and guests are encouraged to bring snacks or take advantage of Salt Fork's Timbers Restaurant. Kent State Tuscarawas will be playing host to one of the most soulful, touching bands of the '90s. Blessid Union of Soul takes the stage at the Performing Arts Center for an intimate, moving show. According to the Facebook event page, "The heart, soul and spirit of this band is still embodied in one simple phrase: Love is the answer. That’s one thing that will never change when it comes to Blessid Union of Souls." Performing hits like "I Believe" and "Let Me Be the One," the short drive north will be well worth it. Cambridge Gun Show

Once again being held at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center is the Heritage Gun Show on Saturday, Nov. 18. Come look over some of the finest craftsmanship and technology around, and maybe get yourself something for the upcoming hunting season. Guests can buy, sell or trade at the event. Admission is $6.
