One thing about Louisianans we know how to throw a party and with Christmas just around the corner parishes across the state are gearing up for holiday festivities.

From parades to fireworks, Louisiana has no shortage of holiday activities.

Here are just four holiday festivities for this year's holiday season.

29th Annual Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival

On Saturday, Dec. 2, Oil City is calling all to celebrate the Christmas spirit with fireworks on Caddo Lake.

The festival kicks off at 3:30 p.m. at Earl Williamson Park with concessions, live music and an art market. The firework display will start at 6:30 p.m.

This a free event and children can visit with Santa and get a free gift.

97th Annual Natchitoches Christmas Festival

Come out and celebrate the United States oldest community-based holiday celebration. Since 1927, Natchitoches has been hosting its Christmas Festival.

It started as a one-day festival but has evolved into a six-week long Christmas Season. This Christmas Season begins every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving and concludes on Jan. 6, Epiphany.

With over 300,000 lights the public can enjoy walking the river front and stopping into downtown shops to grab hot chocolate.

This festival was previously ranked as the 3rd “Best Holiday Light Show” behind Rockefeller Center and Disneyland by Yahoo! Travel.

Algiers Holiday Bonfire and Concert

The Algiers Holiday Bonfire & Concert in New Orleans is the largest public event in Algiers and is the Westbank’s hottest holiday event.

As the only holiday bonfire in New Orleans, this event is both an opportunity for Louisianans to embrace the cultural and tradition through a fun, family-friendly community gathering.

This free event is Dec. 2 and open to the public. Its starts at 4:30 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

10th Annual NOLA ChristmasFest

NOLA ChristmasFest is a week-long event that starts on Dec. 21 and ends on Dec. 30, and is New Orlean's most beloved indoor, family-friendly holiday attraction.

This event is presented by Coca-Cola and is an awe-inspiring family fun attraction with displays of a Gingerbread Village, Giant Wreath and Tree. This is all situated near the newly designed ice-skating rink.
