Valentine's Day is fast approaching. Celebrated annually on Feb. 14, Valentine's Day is one of the most romantic days of the year to shower the one you love with affection and gifts.
And, to help you shower your affection on your significant other this year, we've rounded up some of the best Valentine's Day options in the Jackson metropolitan area, whether it is a special treat offering or a romantic dining experience.

Nandy's Candy
Interested in a classic box of chocolates? Nandy's Candy is not just a candy store, it is also a must-visit place in the Jackson area for kids all ages and adults to explore their sweet-tooth's desires, proprietors said. Owner Emmie King, has been making small batches of homemade truffles, chocolate marshmallows, sea salt caramel cookies and many other desserts since 1980.
"We're 43 years old at this point and we hand-make all of our assorted chocolates," King said. "I think the customer service we give our customers on Valentine's Day is so special and that time of year is why we enjoy what we do."
Special: This year for Valentine's Day, Nandy's Candy is selling edible $50 strawberry baskets.

Campbell's Bakery
Campbell's Bakery is one of the most well-known bakeries in the Jackson metro area and has been in business since 1962 offering cakes, cookies, brownies and other sweets made from scratch.
Special: This year for Valentine's Day, Campbell's Bakery is having Valentine's Day tea cakes along with heart-shaped and frosted cookies.

Dixie National Steakhouse
The Steakhouse on Main Dixie National Steak House on the grounds of the Mississippi Coliseum is open Feb. 2-18 is open throughout the rodeo this year and is offering a Valentine's Day special.
Special: This year for Valentine's Day, Dixie National Steak House will be serving a 32-ounce Bone in ribeye for two, two salads, two sides, two rolls all served with sweet treats with chocolate covered strawberries $89.95. Call and text your name, party number, and time to 601-622-4107 to make a reservation, which proprietors say is highly encouraged and will be honored first.
Location: Located on the south side of the Mississippi Trade Mart during the annual Dixie National Rodeo which will be held at the Mississippi Coliseum 1207 Mississippi St., Jackson, Feb. 2-18.
Table 100
Table 100 is a casual bistro-styled restaurant and bar offering gourmet European and American cuisine, plus special-event space.
Special: This year for Valentine's Day, Executive chef Jamie Patrick, along with the general manager of Table 100 will be creating a special Valentine's menu that customers can view upon arrival.
Location: 100 Ridge Way, Flowood
Char Restaurant
Char is an upscale restaurant that offers brunch, lunch and dinner from a family-styled menu with a Southern vibe, according to the restaurant's website. There is also a dress code and reservations are accepted.
Special: This year for Valentine's Day, Char will not have any dinner specials but will be offering their original menu items for large groups or couples and also have live piano playing during brunch hours from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

BRAVO! Italian Restaurant & Bar
Enjoy classic Italian fare and pizzas served in an upscale-casual café with lively bar and gluten-free menu. Reservations are accepted.
Special: This year for Valentine's Day, Bravo is creating a special dinner menu that will be announced closer to Valentine's Day.

Whitley's Florist & Flower Delivery
Consider sending your Valentine a gift of roses from Whitley's Florist & Flower Delivery, which is a family-owned and operated shop. But If roses aren't your style, the flower shop offers arrangements with other flowers like lilies and orchids as well as indoor plants.

Jax-Zen Healing Arts Center
Looking to relax and pamper yourself and your partner? Jax-Zen Healing Arts Center is offering couples massages and floatation therapy at a discounted rate. Normally the deal is $456 but for Valentine's Day this year it is only $333 and includes a float zen combo deal where guests can get a float and a 15-minute meditation with a choice of any of other services, according to Jina Daniels, co founder of Jax-Zen Healing arts center.
Special: For Valentine's Day, Jax-zen is offering a couples combo where each person receives a 90-minute float and 90-minute massage. Also gift cards will be available.
