Start working on your resume, because Queen Elizabeth II is hiring and the role sounds pretty great. Posted online by her private secretary’s office, the Queen is currently looking for a digital media expert to take on the job of head of digital engagement. Interested? Let’s talk…

The position, which will work full-time, Monday through Friday pays roughly $60,000 and comes with perks like free lunch, 33 days of vacation, 15% employer contribution pension scheme, and of course… working for the royal family.

“The role of Royal Communications is to engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of The Royal Family. Joining this fast paced and dynamic team, your challenge will be to lead on and develop our digital communications strategy, and ensure that we make effective use of a range of digital platforms to support these aims,” the ad reads.

“Whether you’re covering a State Visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you’ll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences,” the ad continues.

But of course, the Queen doesn’t want just anyone taking on this role. So here’s what you need to in order to qualify: prior experience handling social media for a high profile organization, confidence using a wide range of different content management systems, a firm understanding of HTML, and naturally, top-notch writing and editing skills.

“It’s about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage,” the ad reads.

The job ad also highlights that the head of digital engagement’s work will be viewed by millions. The Royal Family Twitter account has more than 4 million followers while the Instagram account boasts almost 7 million, so there likely isn’t too much room for error here.
