Looking for Halloween haunted houses? These 9 Pensacola area spots are sure to spook

With Halloween around the corner, we're coming up on the last two weekends to enjoy some spooky fun before we're whisked off to the rest of the holiday season.

We're written about Halloween things to do with kids and fun parties and more adult-oriented events in Pensacola already. Those of you looking for something a bit spookier can find haunted houses in Pensacola below.

Hadji Haunted House

  • When: 7-10:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 21, 27, 28 and 31

  • Where: 800 W. Nine Mile Road

This is the 8th year that Pensacola Breast Cancer Association (PBCA) is partnering with the Hadji Shrine to put on the biggest haunted house in Northwest Florida. Proceeds benefit PBCA, whose mission is to raise money for awareness, screening and diagnosis of breast cancer among the Escambia County indigent and under-insured patient population. Do you have the courage to enter the Hadji Haunted House? Come experience 40 rooms of pure horror inside this terrifying haunted house. Admission is $25.

33rd annual Haunted House Walking and Trolley Tours

  • When: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Oct. 21, 27-28

  • Where: Historic Pensacola, 330 S. Jefferson St.

Time for the annual Haunted House Walking and Trolley Tours. Historic Pensacola will have three different walking tour routes and a trolley route to choose from this year. Please note not all tours are offered each night and each time. Adult walking tours are $15, children 12 and under are $8. Adult trolley tours are $20, children 12 and under are $10.

Halloween Haunted Trail

  • When: 7:30 p.m., Oct. 30-31

  • Where: 2770 Rosemont Drive, Navarre

Local first responders, teachers and retired military personnel have united for a Halloween-themed event, offering the community a complimentary haunted trail experience. Encounter live characters, life-sized animatronics, candy and endless enjoyment.

This trail may be too spooky for young children who are scared by depictions of monsters and moving characters. Children 10 and under are recommended to be accompanied by an adult.

Creepy Hollow Woods

  • When: 6-10 p.m., Oct. 19-21, 6-11:59 p.m., Oct. 27-28

  • Where: 2251 Wade Road, Jay

Creepy Hollow Woods returns for its 11th year. The 2023 season has a lot in store as there will be food trucks, live music and other forms of entertainment during the wait. The attraction is a trek through Hollow Woods, which features a mix of movie-inspired characters and fully original ones. Admission is $20 and kids 4 and under get in for free.

Fear Forest Returns

  • When: 7-10 p.m., Oct. 20-21

  • Where: Community of Christ, 2111 Presidio St., Navarre

The Community of Christ is bringing the Fear Forest to Navarre on Oct. 20-21. This charity event features a PG-13 and up haunted trail, a Nerf zombie course and fun games for the kids.

The price of admission is a cash donation of any amount or non-perishable food item. Donations will go to Feeding the Gulf Coast food pantry and Bluff Springs Campgrounds.

Ghosts of Milton Walking Tour

When: 6-9 p.m., Oct. 20-21

Where: The Imogene Theatre, 6868 Caroline St., Milton

Downtown Milton comes to life with historic stories and reenactments of Milton’s past. The fun begins at the Imogene Theatre and the walking tour will be on the north side of Caroline Street and U.S. Highway 90.

The Dark Woods

  • When: Dark until 11:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday and dark until 10 p.m. every Sunday in October

  • Where: 27600 County Road 64, Robertsdale, Alabama

The Dark Woods is a spine-chilling haunted woods experience. The winding path is next to an eerie lake, tall and gnarled trees and horrifying creatures hiding in the dark. This experience is intended for adults. Everyone must sign a waiver and children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult to be admitted. Tickets start at $15.

Nightmare Chambers at OWA

  • When: 7-10 p.m. every Friday to Saturday, 7-9 p.m. Sundays and 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 31.

Ghoulish Grounds

  • When: 6:30-9 p.m., Oct. 27-31

  • Where: 1729 Bainbridge Ave.

The Ghoulish Grounds is a single-home walkthrough experience. Guests will start at the yard's front gate as they make their way through the yard and into the haunted forest. They'll end in the backyard where they can continue through the south side and find the day care. The spooky display is kid-friendly.
