You could go to a Christmas in July event in Vero Beach, a back-to-school expo in Fort Pierce, a Christmas in July craft fair in Port St. Lucie and a Treasure Coast-wide waterway cleanup at various locations across Martin County.

Here’s your Five on Friday weekend update for the Treasure Coast.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Christmas in July

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

  • Indian River County Fairgrounds, 7955 58th Ave., Vero Beach

  • Santa and Mrs Claus are vacationing in Vero Beach and will be joining in on a day of music, food, and live entertainment for all ages. All proceeds from this event will be used to provide a Merry Christmas for children of Indian River County through Toys for Tots of IRC.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY

Back to School Expo

  • 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday

  • Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce

  • The 15th annual event includes health screenings, safety information, community resources and school supplies. Free on-site services include school physicals, sports physicals ($150 value), Covid-19 vaccinations, Florida KidsCare Health Insurance applications, immunization appointments, developmental screenings, fingerprinting services, and backpacks & school supplies (while supplies last).

Christmas in July Craft Fair

  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday

  • MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 S.E. Event Center Place, Port St. Lucie

  • This two-day arts & crafts fair is loaded with a huge assortment of vendors and unique exhibitors. Shop in air-conditioned comfort for arts & crafts, clothing, jewelry, chocolates, soap, candles, gifts, and Christmas decorations. Hourly door prizes.

Family Fun Day

Organizers rescheduled this July 22 event to September, Port St. Lucie city officials told TCPalm on deadline, but they have not changed the information that's available online.

The event apparently will still be held at Girl Scout Friendship Park, 315 N.W. Heather St., Port St. Lucie, with DJ music and family-friendly activities, including bounce houses, inflatable games and an obstacle course.

Admission will be free, but wristbands for games will cost $5, and raffles will benefit the Port St. Lucie Humane Society, according to the online information.

MARTIN COUNTY

Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup

  • 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday

  • Blowing Rocks Preserve in Hobe Sound, Indian Riverside Park Boat Ramp in Jensen Beach, Jensen Beach Causeway Boat Ramp, Jimmy Graham Boat Ramp in Hobe Sound, Stuart Causeway Boat Ramp, Leighton Park Boat Ramp in Palm City

  • Take part in the 16th annual event to help clean up 125 miles of waterways across Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties. Volunteers receive an event t-shirt and watercraft will receive a commemorative bungee to fly on their boat.
