Looking to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month? Here's a list of events in Greater Cincinnati
Ohio is already painted in an abundance of color thanks to fall foliage, and throughout the next few weeks the vibrant colors of Latin American flags will follow suit, flying high to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
Various locally-organized festivities celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, are taking place around Greater Cincinnati, with many bringing the fiesta energy to the city.
A 2022 report presented by Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA indicates the city's demographic of Hispanic residents has expanded rapidly over the past decade, with an approximate 48.5% increase from 49,618 individuals in 2010 to 73,707 in 2020.

Tuesday, Sept. 26
Santa Maria Community Services' PreventionFirst! Fall Fest
11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 3301 Warsaw Ave., East Price Hill.
Maritza Dyer, addiction counselor assistant at Addiction Services Council, leads a conversation about preventing substance abuse in Price Hill. Features free food, entertainment and community leaders in substance abuse prevention.
Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA networking meeting
5:30-7:30 p.m. American Red Cross, 2111 Dana Ave., Evanston.
A small business and entrepreneur networking meeting. Registration for the free event is required at www.hispaniccincinnati.chambermaster.com. Food from Chacabanas Cuban Sandwiches will be provided.
Saturday, Sept. 30
Festival de la Herencia Hispana (Hispanic Heritage Festival)
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Princeton High School murals, 150 Viking Way, Sharonville.
Celebrating the Latino and Hispanic families in the Princeton school district. Authentic food, entertainment, games and community resources.
Cooperative for Education's Fall Fiesta 2023
6-9 p.m. The Penthaus, 231 W. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine.
Local nonprofit Cooperative for Education hosts its in-person Fall Fiesta 2023 event. The nonprofit has worked to help Guatemalan children break the cycle of poverty through education for over 25 years. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., with a program starting at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 3
"Tony Pérez: From Cuba to Cooperstown" author talk
5 p.m. at The Metropolitan Club, 50 E. Rivercenter Blvd., Suite 1900, Covington.

Unwalling Citizenship by guest speakers Teddy Cruz and Fonna Forman

Santa Maria's Passport to Success annual fundraiser
6-9 p.m. at the Miami Township Community Event Center, 3780 Shady Lane.
Santa Maria Community Services hosts its annual Passport to Success fundraiser, featuring News 5 (WLWT-TV) anchor Courtis Fuller as the guest emcee. Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA hosts its annual volunteer day, inviting teams of volunteers from small businesses, non-profits, community groups, schools, major corporations and local families. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with gardening, assembling literacy kits and other volunteer projects following from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A light breakfast, T-shirts and lunch will be provided.
