This was a moment that will go down in entertainment and sports history. At Wrestlemania 33, John and Nikki teamed up to fight The Miz and Maryse. After scoring a victory, Cena grabbed the mic to profess his love for Nikki. He then got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend of five years. An emotional Nikki said yes as she finally realized her dream of marrying Cena was going to come true. As fans saw on the show Total Divas, Cena was against the idea of marriage and children, which is something Nikki desired. But Cena appeared to change his mind and was ready to take the next step with Nikki. Sadly, a year after the proposal, the couple announced their split.
