Victoria Monét has finally released her debut album, JAGUAR IIand celebrated surrounded by her favorite people. In partnership with Tres Generaciones, the GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter transformed a chic Hollywood venue into a jaguar’s lair.

With DJ Fannie Mae on the turntables, guests walked through a makeshift jungle and into an outdoor utopia. The specialty cocktails were aptly named after singles from Monét’s new LP, with attendees being able to choose from a “Party Girls Paloma,” “On My Mama ‘Rita,” “Jaguar Juice,” and a “Black Jag.”

Cardi B, Kiana Ledé, Lucky Daye, Quinta Brunson, Kelly Rowland, Leon Thomas, Smino, Buddy, Destin Conrad, Joyce Wrice, Josh Levi, Khamari, Shenseea, Alex Vaughan, Ella Mai, Sean Bankhead, Tank, D’Mile, and more A-list stars were all in attendance. They collectively enjoyed delightful finger foods, two-stepped to Tamia’s “Can’t Get Enough,” and turned Hollywood into a HBCU homecoming.

Since its release, JAGUAR II has garnered global attention. Monét describes the album as the “older, more developed voluptuous sister” of 2020’s JAGUAR. It also “breathes new life” into her acclaimed EP.

When speaking on her favorite track from the new project, she told Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis that it actually isn’t one of the current singles.

“I really like ‘How Does It Make You Feel?,'” she shared. “It feels timeless to me, and that’s one of the things that I try to really create. I also, I can’t not be proud of ‘Hollywood’ because of Earth, Wind and Fire and Hazel and maybe the song will always be somewhat relevant because there’s always something going on in the world. So just a time to sit back and reflect will always I think, make sense and be necessary.”

She later reflected on the team behind the album, including executive producers, D’Mile and Rachelle Jean-Louis. “Collaborating with my friends is awesome. It’s not like I got an A&R to be like, ‘yo, this producer’s hot. You should work with him.’ It’s really my friends. And so that’s the best part about it is making something magical that I feel. And creating memories with some of your favorite people in the world at the same time.”
