Look: 'Hellbound' Season 2, 'Sweet Home' Season 3 get first-look photos

Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Netflix is teasing its South Korean programming slate for 2024.

The streaming service shared first-look photos for Hellbound Season 2 and Sweet Home Season 3 on Monday.

Hellbound is based on the webtoon by Yeon Sang-ho, who writes and directs the Netflix series.

The show takes in a world where supernatural beings suddenly appear and condemn certain people to hell. A cult-like religious group, the New Truth Society, takes advantage of the fear and chaos.

Season 1 starred Yoo Ah-in, Kim Hyun-joo, Park Jeong-min, Won Jin-ah and Yang Ik-june.

Season 2 started production in August 2023 and will see "new entanglements arise amidst the sudden resurrections of The New Truth's Chairman Jung Jinsu and Park Jungja."

Sweet Home is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name.

Season 1 followed Cha Hyun-soo (Song Kang), a suicidal teenager who must fight alongside his neighbors at the Green Home apartment building after people start turning into monsters. Season 2 saw the crisis go worldwide.

In Season 3, monsterization has ended and a new humanity has begun, causing people to "desperately struggle to survive in this changed world."

The first two seasons starred Kang, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Park Gyu-young, Go Min-si, Kim Hee-jung, Kim Gook-hee and Lee Joon-woo.

Reality competition series Physical 100 and Zombieverse will also return for new seasons in 2024. Netflix is also adapting the Hitoshi Iwaaki manga Parasyte: The Grey as a new show set in South Korea.

In addition, Squid Game Season 2 will premiere this year.
