The Alabama rookies in the NFL are finally getting their first taste of action. Sure, that action is coming on a practice field and not a game field, but you got to start somewhere, right?

One thing we know for certain: former Crimson Tide star running back Najee Harris looks in fantastic shape. After being taken by the Steelers at No. 24 overall in the 2021 NFL draft, Harris is expected to bell cow runner in Pittsburgh.

Check out some of these photos and clips of him going through his very first rookie minicamp. Unfortunately, it’s only a few light drills to start things off, but once again, it’s a start.

Alabama fans have to be excited about seeing another potential workhorse running back in the league. We’ve seen plenty of them in recent seasons, but Derrick Henry and Josh Jacobs are currently playing at an extremely high level.

Don’t be surprised if Harris joins that tier of Alabama runners on the next level in the very near future. Pittsburgh still has some work to do with its offensive line, but the reigning Doak Walker Award winner has the size and power to create on his own — if need be.
