As a member of the royal family, Meghan had certain rules to follow. However, she's shown that she wasn't afraid to break a few rules.
When one of Meghan's close friends threw her a baby shower in New York City, the British media was quick to criticize her.
They said the baby shower was against the royal rules, and that the star-studded affair was just a way for Meghan to show off.
Another time that Meghan has received criticism is when she and Harry used a private jet when they went on vacation to Nice, France with Elton John.
The private jet controversy came days after Harry talked about his and Meghan's desire to help preserve the environment. Despite Elton coming to their defense and saying he loaded them his personal jet, the couple was called hypocrites by the media.

From the moment Meghan married into the royal family, she was compared to her sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
As Prince William's wife and the future Queen once William takes over the throne; Kate has become the darling of British media.
Kate is often praised by the media for every aspect of her life. From the way she dresses to her charity work to the way she raises her children, Kate can't do no wrong in the media's eyes.
As for Meghan, even though she's a member of the royal family, she can be unconventional at times. Even though she dresses regally, volunteers for numerous charities, and shares similar child-rearing beliefs as Kate; she gets called out for her behavior.
The British press has often stated that Meghan needs to take lessons from her sister-in-law on how to properly behave like a royal.

The first batch of rumors stated that Meghan and Kate were at odds. While Kate and Meghan may not be the very best of friends, the reports of a feud were completely rubbish.
But that didn't stop the press from claiming that Meghan was responsible for the rift between Harry and William.
The feud between the two brothers had to do with William's concern that Harry and Meghan's relationship was moving too fast. It was even rumored that William went out of his way to avoid Meghan during royal appearances.
However, as Harry has stated, he and is brother are still close, yet they're just going in different directions in their lives.
With Harry and Meghan's recent announcement about stepping back from royal duties, the press has allegedly reported that the couple is at odds with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.
