No Halloween movie has "put a spell on" millennials quite like Hocus Pocus since it was released in 1993. The film follows three evil witch sisters (played by Kathy Najimy, Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker) who are accidentally brought back from the dead in the '90s by local teens who then must stop them from becoming immortal — and it wasn't initially a box office hit. But repeated showings on the Disney Channel and Freeform built its cult following, to the point where Hocus Pocus 2 hit theaters in 2022 and a third is in development.
