Longmont Cinco de Mayo festival set for Saturday at Roosevelt Park

May 2—Longmont will once again celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a free, family-friendly festival on Saturday at Roosevelt Park.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Roosevelt Park will be the site of musical performances, a break dancing competition, food trucks, a car show, and more. This year also marks the return of the Chihuahua contest, where judges will evaluate 15 Chihuahuas in three categories.

Saturday will be the city's 21st annual celebration of the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo. More than 7,000 attendees are expected, according to the event website.
