'Long Island Medium' stars Theresa and Larry Caputo officially divorcing — and he has a new girlfriend
We’re not sure if Long Island Medium star Theresa Caputo predicted that her separation from her husband, Larry, would lead to divorce, but that’s what’s happening.
Cameras this week caught Larry Caputo out in Los Angeles, where he has been living since splitting with his wife. “I came out here at the end of September, and I’ve been here ever since, so we’re talking, like, nine months now,” he tells TMZ. “The separation was a three-month trial period, and we’ve moved on from that point. We’re in divorce proceedings.”
The pair announced their separation in December, and it was revealed that they were living on separate coasts. “After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate,” they said in a joint statement. “We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
It seems that when they made the announcement, they were already starting the divorce process. Larry tells TMZ that proceedings have been going on for the last six months. “It’s not finalized,” he says. “I don’t know when it will be.”
Larry adds, “I’m doing fine; I know she’s doing well. I’m happy; we’ve moved on with our lives.”
He’s also moved on with someone new. Although Larry declined to name the woman he’s dating, he gushes, “I’m fortunate enough to say I have met someone special, but I’ll just leave it at that for now.”
The Caputos have two adult children: Larry Jr. and Victoria.

News of the couple’s impending divorce isn’t all that surprising. They both talked about marital strife on the season premiere in April. So, what does this mean for their hit TLC show moving forward?
“That’s a good question,” Larry says. “I don’t really know what the status is. Fans are going to have to tune in and watch. I honestly don’t know if I’ll be involved anymore.”
Perhaps Theresa can see what the future holds.
