London Police Investigating Three More Assault Claims Related to Harvey Weinstein
The London Metropolitan Police have expanded their investigation into Harvey Weinstein to include three additional assault claims, according to the Associated Press.
The Met police have stated that a second victim, in addition to the woman who had already come forward regarding an assault in the 1980s, alleged on Saturday that she was assaulted by Weinstein in Westminster in 2010 and 2011 and in Camden in 2015, both cities in the London area.
Per the Met Police’s policy, no suspects or accusers have been named, but a statement reads that the man accused on Saturday is the same man accused Wednesday.
No arrests have been made, and Weinstein denies the allegations.
The London police opened the original investigation three days ago after a woman came forward accusing Weinstein of assaulting her in the London area in the 1980s.
“The Metropolitan Police Service was passed an allegation of sexual assault by Merseyside Police on Wednesday, 11 October,” the statement issued at the time read. “The allegation will be assessed by officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command.”
According to the Sunday Times, the allegation was leveled by Lysette Anthony, a British soap opera actress who appeared in “Hollyoaks,” and who said she reported to the Met police on Wednesday that Weinstein raped her in the 1980s.

“On 11 October, Merseyside Police referred an allegation of sexual assault to the Metropolitan Police Service. It is alleged that a man sexually assaulted a woman (Victim 1) in the late 1980s in west London. On 14 October, further allegations were made against the same man. It is alleged that the man sexually assaulted a woman (Victim 2) in Westminster in 2010 and 2011, and in Camden in 2015. Officers from the Met’s Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command are investigating the allegations. There has been no arrest at this stage.”
